ABOUT ABOUT

Join Madame Askew for a 6 week course focusing on hat construction. This course will focus on constructing a tall hat, either a tapered crown hat or a top hat, using a flat pattern method and a combination of hand sewing and maching sewing techniques. (Choose either the tapered crown hat from Truly Victorian or Out of a Portrait Hats or the Top Hat pattern from Out of a Portrait Hats.)

Each week on Saturday, we will meet on zoom for 2 hours with an additional half hour question and answer period at the end. Madame will demonstrate the various techniques and steps for that week and answer any addtional questions. In between classes, students will have access to a discord chat.

Classes will be recorded so that those who sign up for the full 6 weeks will have access to those sessions if they cannot attend in person for any reason. The recorded sessions may be available later for a discounted fee for those purchasing weekly class sessions rather than the full course.
