Join Madame Askew for a little sewing and scads of sillness and tea. Madame will work through the steps for creating a charming Pumpkin Pincushion.
For this teatorial, you will need a few tools and items:
Two 6 inch squares of coordinating tightly woven cotton fabric or wool felt (Craft felt will do but will not have the same effect as wool felt)
Polyfill, organic cotton stuffing, or other stuffing for pin cushions like walnut shells
A 1/4 to 1/2 inch button for the top of your pumpkin
Large hand sewing needle and coordinating embroidery floss
Sewing machine, bobbins, sewing shears, thread, pins
We will be sewing this up by machine; however, you can make this project entirely by hand, and we will discuss those techniques.
